LIBRARY PROGRAM: The library curriculum includes objectives designed to develop information skills such as: · Using Destiny on-line catalog to search for book and video titles by subject, title, and author searches · Dictionary skills · Biography studies · Parts of a book · Database research · Genre study
The library also promotes reading and literature appreciation through storytelling, author studies, recognition of notable book awards, reading motivational activities, and book fairs. The library program also supports Scholastic Reading Counts by providing the books that are part of this program which is a school-wide reading motivational program.
