Overview of
Courses
Health is a one
semester High
School Credited Course that will include
many areas of study. Some topics which will be covered are mental
health, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, AIDS education, sex education,
nutrition, fitness and safety. We will examine current health issues
in today’s society and discuss how responsible behavior can
lead to
wellness.
Career Investigation
is designed to provoke students with the ability to make informed
decisions concerning the world of work and how it relates to the
world of learning. Students will compile a portfolio of their work,
take assessments to better guide them in their career development,
investigate different career clusters, complete their high school
graduation plan, discover the job-hunting process, and learn how to
succeed at work.
GRADING
POLICY:
Daily Work: 40%
Test: 60%
TEST/TESTING
Test usually
comprised of 25 to 50 multiple choice or matching questions with an
Essay or thought
provoking question. We will review at least 2 days prior to each
test.
